Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)

Medium Term Accommodation

At Perfect Care we provide the option of medium term accommodation for participants. If you need accommodation with a duration of more than two weeks (14 days) but no more than three months (90 days) then medium term accommodation is what you need.

This type of accommodation is designed to meet a participant’s disability related housing needs whilst awaiting disability related supports which will enable them to move into their long term housing solution.  An example includes living in medium term care while waiting for your own home to be modified for your needs.

Medium term accommodation only provides accommodation and not meals or daily activity support for participants. If a participant requires meals or assistance with their daily activities, this needs to be identified separately as part of their NDIS plan.

Features of our Medium Term Accommodation include:

Staff Support

All our carers are highly trained to ensure particpants get the personalised care they need. Our carer ratio to participants depends on the needs of our participants. We also have a carer available overnight. You can be assured that we take participant confidentiality very seriously. That’s why we have implemented procedures to safeguard your privacy. We also pride ourselves in only employing highly qualified staff members, trained staff to work with the young and youth with challenging behaviours. Our staff have also undergone Police checks and Working with Children checks.

Community Participation

We want to make a particpant’s stay with us as enjoyable as possible. This means our activities are tailored to what they enjoy. This could be going shopping, seeing a movie, visiting a park or even enjoying playing a sport.

Spacious and Private Accommodation

For all of our participants privacy is a priority. That is why all our participants don’t share rooms, but have their own private single rooms. All our respite accommodation have at least five bedrooms, some with ensuites.

However, it is also important to have spacious living areas – especially when friends or family are visiting. That’s why our accommodation options have at least two lounge rooms and spacious gardens.

Flexibility

We understand that each Participant is different. That’s why our care is led by the participant’s choices, needs and goals. We actively promote independence in a safe and non-discriminative environment.
